A medida da largura dos cursos d’água é realizada para intervalos de 10 metros, agrupados em trechos de 100 metros. Para cada trecho de 100 metros, é atribuído o maior valor de largura medido para seus intervalos de 10 metros. As redes hidrográficas existentes são complementadas e/ou adaptadas com base nas imagens RapidEye. Além da adequação da escala, a edição vetorial contempla quatro situações: i) rios com mais de 10 metros de largura são digitalizados como polígonos; ii) rios que tiveram seus cursos alterados são redelimitados; iii) massas d’água oriundas de novos barramentos são incluídas ou redelimitadas e iv) eventuais deslocamentos são corrigidos. Dado derivado do projeto de mapeamento do uso e cobertura do solo, da Fundação Brasileira de Desenvolvimento Sustentável - 2013, complementados por imagens RapidEye.
